Im using their premium Semi Gloss which is great for color prints like landscapes , portraits etc. However...today I ran some 13" Iford Galerie Smooth Pearl Roll paper through and its great!!!. Colors are vibrant etc. Only problem is I needed to create another ICC profile for it. When I printed Spyders (my printer color icc profiler) color swatch out on the r3000 with no color adjustment to see what the difference was between my calibrated screen and the printer it was out by heaps. Not so much in the main colors like Red Green Blue Yellow Cyan and Magenta but in the dark browns and some pastel colors where i saw a big difference between the two. In other words....the screen colors of the spyder swatch showing in Photoshop on my calibrated screen were different in 30% of the colors (225 seperate colors total) to what r3000 printed with no color adjustment. AFter I profiled the difference it was fine and I printed out a stunning landscape today on the paper. So...Smooth Pearl (semigloss) is now a good alternative to Epson Semi Gloss for the R3000. And at half the price!! Im sure Ilford would have an ICC profile by now for the r3000 but if not l just message me and I can send you the one I created.

Rgds

Kevin

I was disappointed that I couldn't find an icc for Epson Ultra Premium Photo Glossy for use with my Epson R2400. A query to Epson confirmed that they didn't provide one. Epson recommends that R2400 users use the icc for Premium Photo Paper Glossy.
