I have some previous experience shooting model airplanes in flight, but I just started trying to shoot BIF recently. The wind was brutally strong and cold today, but it didn't stop these critters from taking flight.

Nice shots!
The honker is cropped to tight for me. I'd prefer to see more space in front of him.

Thanks. I just got the lens and the camera last weekend. So far I'm very happy with both.

Me too. But he was that close to the right side of the frame, so I didn't have any choice. I suppose I could clone some background and stick it over there.

Here's another from today.

I cloned some background and added it in front, and edited the post. Thanks for talking me into that :)

Thanks. The goose caught me by surprise and came swooping by real close. I was lucky to fire off a burst and catch all of him in the frame. The posted pic filled the frame pretty well and I think I may print a 13x19 of it.

Very good shots, looks like your experience with shooting model airplanes is really paying off.

One nice thing aboug BIF is that I don't have to worry about using slow shutter speeds to get propeller blur :)
