so long story short, mel the wife has known me for 20 years, jef the husband has known me for 19 years.
we all went to high school together. they play in a band, taht is on hiatus because of their kids.
their kids birthdays and my kids birthdays are all within a week of each other and all the same age.
jeff works at costco where i say hi to him all the time.
i saw jeff shooting a wedding one day and was like, hey man, come shoot with me.
jeff, mel + their kids are all friends with us again.

anyways, typical white seamless, two lights on the white, softbox camera left up high.

i love white seamless, so feel free to c+c as much as you want

Very nice Rick.

I think #1 is going to be a family favorite for years to come.

Thanks for the lighting info.

unfortunately its not a crop, in fact of all the photo's i thinks its the only one that "size wise" is almost straight out of camera. it was a very candid moment, but i do concur, if it was full frame i would have cropped it much differently

Great shots! You using tile board on the floor? What type of lights you using?

Just an observation based on me doing the same thing - shot #4 the light might be too high up for his size. Just a bit of softness in the face area.

Great set though.

+1 on the floor question! They look fantastic! I couldn't tell if the "shadow/reflection" on the floor was done in post or by whatever they are standing on

I think it is something like this http://www.homedepot.com …el-Board-709106/202090193 (external link). It has a small reflective property.

Thrifty white tile board! Love the stuff. Nice photos they will love these. Im thinking about going from a 4 to 3 light setup and this is helping.

edit: only nitpick is in 6 the reflection of her foot is split assuming thats where the thrifty overlaps. I havent been able to fix that issue either.
