I'm ignorant, yet curious, what does Adobe Certified Associate status get you...a 'ticket punch' for what?

I'm glad you asked ...

From the Adobe website:

Validate your Adobe skills

Demonstrate your proficiency in Adobe digital communications tools.
Open doors to exciting careers

Expand your career opportunities with industry-recognized certification.
Differentiate yourself

Stand apart from your peers in a competitive job market.
Boost your confidence

Be certain your digital media skills are up to date

Basically it gives you bragging rights and a certificate that tells employers "I know my stuff."

If thats what you wish to think, I like to think I worked hard and studied.

You sound offended, I didn't mean to upset you. Of course it takes diligence and time on your part to master the relevant topics; I acknowledge this. I was simply saying there's not much result/outcome to the certificate other than 'bonus points' when submitting a resume.

Like Swift said, you can tell employers "I know my stuff". I interview software developer candidates for software development positions and the credible software certificates tell me that the person is ambitious enough to start and finish something and that they "know their stuff". I can then spend more time evaluating the interviewee for other strengths and weaknesses.

Congratulations!!

Congratulations are due, indeed. I simply did not know that having that credential entitled one to qualify for some specific type of position, was something specifically sought by some employers, or whatever.
