Went out last night to practice a little more light painting. I found a garage with a great view of the Houston skyline and set everything up. There were a few overhead lights that I thought wouldn't be a problem, but they turned out to limit me a lot on the light painting aspect. I thought the shot wasn't going to turn out, so I packed it in without finishing painting the car and headed home.

I messed around with the composites for a bit though and came up with a result that I think looks pretty good. I wish I'd been able to paint the whole car, but I'm happy with how this one turned out. Dark? Yes, a little, but I really like the dark effect in this pic. I'm putting the before and afters along with some more info on my blog soon, if yall want to check it out.

CC always welcome. Thanks guys!

Thanks! Nearly all of the shots were 10 sec @ f8. I'm going to be updating my blog in a sec with all the details.

I would clone out whatever that stuff is in the middle of the back wall. For whatever reason, I keep looking at it.

Interesting shot, but sorry, in the "Share" areas IMAGE POSTING RULES only allow 2 attachments by the OP per thread, OR 8 embedded (linked) images, OR a combination of both totaling 8 per thread. (Maximum 1024 pixels on any side.) You can always just post a link to more, though, or better yet, post a link to a gallery so we don't have to click on each image link.
Some exceptions are group threads, like "Show Me...", "Post your best...", equipment reviews, Tutorials, etc.
You may add a few additional photos if requested, but only in a reply to other member's post and request.

great job at salvaging the shot! the thing that distracts me the most is the split right down the hood and the front bumper, even though there is supposed to be a crease there it just looks a little weird

Hmm....I didn't alter that in any way, that's just the car's body lines!

Car brochure worthy! Man...I miss the RSX! Honda realized there was no need for it since the Civic SI came along. Acura should have kept it in their lineup.

I like it, a rare example of a car photo that is understated and not with too many highlights.

I would also have tried the same shot with parking lights on.
