I purchased a copy of Elements 9 for my laptop for when we travel and dug these out from a while ago and processed them to see how the program went.

Noisy Miners over here in Australia are considered a bit of a pest, but like most birds I still like them and they have a distinct personality with a lot of curiosity where they are sometimes just happy to sit and watch you while you watch them!

Never seen that one, they look like they are about the size of a starling?

Flo, they are about 10" to 12" long depending on age. They can also be a bit if a bully bird if you venture near their nest, they'll swoop you constantly till you move out of their territory. They do the same to other birds as well. But when they are not nesting their curiosity gets the better of them and they will interact nicely with others. The one on the post flew there when I was watching a Magpie, he just sat there quietly watching me without any fear at all.

We have our pests as well Lloyd, but that does not make them any less interesting and attractive for folks like us. You've done very well with these shots. Any more left? :)

Great Detail Mate!!!

Thanks Gary, the Sigma 150-500 is pretty good for detail as long as you don't use too much zoom, the longer the length the more the detail falls off

Thanks Lil, yeh, I am one who believes a shooting a common bird is better than waiting for something better and missing out completely.

Thanks Mike.

Here is another one for you Lil, same bird though, just looking the other way. I also did not do as good a job processing this one (I did it months ago).
