Here's one I shot yesterday. I was just playing with your standard clamp lights used in garage.
I had one clamped on the boom above her and my assistant was holding the other one as the
main light. This alternative lighting stuff is a lot of fun.

Here's a pullback of the setup from the above image.

I think you did a great job. It's nice to see some of the alternative lighting setups. I use one of those identical shop lights a lot with a daylight 6500K bulb.

I just got my first pair of glasses that I didn't think I needed. I apologize to anybody in the past year that I said their pictures were out of focus lol.

These are just standard incandescent bulbs?

Locky, not to nitpick, but aren't daylight bulbs typically 5500? I'm asking because I spent a chunk of change on "daylight" CFL bulbs at Home Depot not long ago and they were WAY cooler than what I wanted. The daylight fluorescent tubes I bought were much better.

Can you take my picture on some railroad tracks?! No, that's illegal now. I'm really sorry.

I might have misquoted. I will check later and make sure. It wouldn't be my first oops in this forum. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

These are just standard 60 Watt household light bulbs. The key when doing anything like this is creating a custom white balance.

Mike, look forward to seeing more of your work here. Kompressor, the bulbs are 5600k that I have.

There was an awesome video on Fstoppers about using those high power worklights behind a white curtain. It made some awesome light. Shot like these are so creative!

excellent job, i really like the lighting and your control over it. the picture turned out great! just seeing your results and how you set it up, makes me kind of want to go buy some clamp lights to give it a run.

I bought a set of white lights at 100watt each and tried it myself. The lighting works just as great.
