Yikes, this doesn't sound too comforting since I have 3 560s on it's way from oversea. The seller claims they're made with metal mount footing from a more recent batch. Will these have the same capacitor issue?

You should not have a problem at least you have a 1 in 3 chance of getting a good one.

Yongnuo arent the only flashes that break. I had two Canon speedlite repaired this year alone. 580ex repair cost $110. St-e2 repair cost $85. Both were minor repairs and these prices happen to be the minimum repair cost at the Canon Center. And that is not including postage to and from.

My Yongnuo 560 cost me only $65.00 new and complete. And performs well so far for 4 months. Cant beat $65. In fact I another Yougnou as a cheap backup.

Meh, its just like any other product. There are bad ones and good ones. Ive read of people on here who have used them frequently for over a year without issue.

No issues here yet, absolutely love it.

Imo, Ebay stuff from overseas companies are 90% great for the price. But 10% are junk or defective. Still buying there is worth the risk for me. At least I can afford it and I dont rely on these products for my livelihood.
