Thought some of you may like this one. Bad weather tonight in Mississippi, but it made a nice light show on the water. Most of it stayed in the clouds, but this one snuck through.

For those wanting to do these shots that might not know how, I guess I should say what I did....

Set the exposure for 30 sec (manual mode)...I think I was around F8-9 or so, and I bumped my ISO to around 500 (not sure if the info is still attached or not).

I had to find a spot that had some activity in the clouds then I zoomed to 24mm on the 24-70 (you can use any lens), I of course had it on a tripod, then used one of the lights in the distance to lock focus.

After that I just pressed the shutter, waited 30 second, pressed, waited, etc.

fantastic image.... confuses me how there is well defined detail in the water and clouds though with a 30 second exposure... I'd have thought the water would appear smooth and the clouds smudged (from my own experience).
