Where in MS was this?

Awesome capture. MS is great for lighting shots, as I don't think I've ever seen more lightning than when I lived there. During the summers, it's a daily occurrence - set your watch by the afternoon thunderstorms.

Thanks!

This was in Brandon on the Ross Barnett reservoir. It was great because low wind and no rain for awhile, just a nice light show.

Funny, one of our news stations emailed me about this photo wanting permission to show it on the air. I told them I had no issue with it, then they sent me a list of questions including what camera I used, if it had been altered in photoshop, etc.

So I decided to amuse them and explain what equipment I used, told them I shot in raw format and each step of my workflow (which alters nothing, just brings out what is already there), etc.

They told me sorry but they could not air it because it is an altered image....I told them I could really care less and to please not waste my time again...

Well, I love they're sticking to the rules... but jeez... ah well, you don't need them at all... they're the ones who want your photo.

Ya, I agree, but if you go by their rules, all you can shoot is jpeg....I never shoot jpeg, but of course, I don't care to have my pics on t.v., or a mag...I think it is going to look good hangin on my wall in alumn. Though!!
