Hey guys,

First thread here on POTN but I thought I would share some of my shots from this season as it draws to a close. Come the end of April I will finally be published and working with a sports writer with the Carolina Hurricanes. Since I'm only 19 I am really excited about this!

Anyways, here are a few of my favorites! Enjoy!

Jeff Skinner

Good action, I would work on fixing the horizon on the last one (just adjust so the blue line on the boards is vertical)

And is it just my monitor here or do they seem underexposed?

Congrats! It would be better if the Hurricanes were still here in Hartford as the Whalers, but what can you do?

Thanks for the reply's guys.

I will agree on the underexposed part as most of these have a lot of PP done to brighten them up. Currently I am shooting my rebel XS which as most of you know doesn't do so well on the High ISO performance so I am working on upgrading that. Most of these with the exception of the Cam Ward Again shot were all shot with my Tamron 70-300 4.5/5.6 which was my first purchase as far as decent lenses go.

Also, a 70-200 f/4 will probably be my next lens however I need to attain a press pass first as it does not fit the arena's lens restrictions right now.

Thanks for the comments and LOL @Lacks_focus

I like #2 & #3! Are you shooting through the glass or through the port hole? I'm assuming since you don't have a press pass it's through the glass?

Yup all of them are through the glass, wish I had access to the port hole haha

Great shot of the future Calder winner. Devils fan here, hoping for the Canes to make it and kick some Flyer ass.
