On Saturday March 26th I took a trip to the Muskoka Wildlife Centre (external link) and got a few shots of the gorgeous animals there. If you're ever in the neighbourhood it is well worth your time to stop by.

All the pics are flickr links where you can learn a bit about the animals.

W-O-W a fantastic set. Each image is amazing...the sharpness and details you captured are just awesome. The first image of the cat is especially striking.

Yup, I had passed by it many times too Jason. I honestly felt a bit foolish for not stopping in sooner.

These are really nice. Did you go on your own to get these shots or did you have to take the guided photographers tour? Do you think a summer trip would be just as good?

I went with a group of ten photographers including myself. We split into two groups of five. In groups of five we managed to stay out of each other's way pretty easily. I think the best times to do this would be the obvious autumn for the colours and winter for the thicker winter coats. The summer will of course have bugs, thinner coats and be a bit busier than the winter. That said I'd still go again. If people are interested in doing a shoot up there this coming spring send me a PM and I'll possibly put something together provided I can afford to go myself.
