What is the name of this process

When you blend two pics together, cross process style...........ive seen it done and want to do it to a pic but cant think of the name.
So ill have one pic for the main and you will be able to see hints of the other pic too

any chance you have a link to an example?

You just stack the images and reduce layer opacity of the top layer so the underlying layer shows through.
