One thing I noticed with the Thirtydy is the addition of a B/W mode. Now I've used this on my Panasonic , which is useful if i have to shoot with that camera in low light as the noise looks better, but is it actually worth using?

If you shoot RAW, set the PS to whatever you want. You can always change it in post. Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

tonylong ...winded More info | Mar 30, 2011 15:30 | #3 I agree, Raw gives you full control -- you can use the Canon Raw processing software Digital Photo Professional (DPP) so that if you set your camera to shoot B&W and Raw, when you load the shot into DPP the software will automatically give you a jpeg-like "rendering" but the great thing about Raw is that you can get totally creative, changing things around and adjusting things.
