Calling all T3i users!!!

thanks anvil! yes those streaks are brake lights and maybe a headlight. the settings i used is in the exif data but here they are in case any fellow noobs can't access it.

shutter: 115 sec
aperture: 18 (i now realize this was too high)
iso: 100

So your camera was on (M) manual for that shot? Or something else?

Here is a couple of photos I selected from the first dozen or so I took with the camera. Nothing artisitic or fancy, just walked the beach and snapped some shots here and there.

Mr.AnviL you should get the mods attentions on adding this to the other Cameras Master list for the EOS cameras threads. And also a nice couple shot of those kite boarders and birds.

hey guys, im new to the forum , got my 600D about a month ago . =] Love it .
purchased it with the super Lens kit 18-135 . Love the lens too , great for outdoors.

Canon should have named the T3i the T2i MkII.

Really nice green on that field. Love it.

anvil, yep i had it on m mode for the shot.

davidc502, this is not a thread about what the t3i woulda coulda shoulda been named, there are other threads on potn for those discussions. if i had my way, the t3i would be called the "soul stealer mark MMXI". reread the op's first post to get an understanding of the topic.

i'm an absolute noob – been soakin in all the great info on this forum (thanks all) for the last 3 weeks since i bought my new t3i. before that, my primary camera was my camera phone. so with that being said, i have no shame in being the first to post an image on this thread. the skies here have been gray everyday and the snow even grayer, so here is my first long exposure at night in the fog.

For an absolute noob (your words), you're off to a pretty darn good start there.

Couple of shots of my car from today. I hate how low you have to set the quality to be able to upload it.

Yes, it was in landscape mode, but autofocus. I had just picked up the 18-135 from a guy and was taking a few shots off my deck to try it out. I took about 10 shots in 2 minutes.

i had the opportunity to handle a T3i today and was impressed with it. i have a 60D, and the similarities and IQ are really decent. i would seriously consider picking up a T3i as a second body. and as proven here, you can take some seriously nice shots!
