i had the opportunity to handle a T3i today and was impressed with it. i have a 60D, and the similarities and IQ are really decent. i would seriously consider picking up a T3i as a second body. and as proven here, you can take some seriously nice shots!

Yeah man, +1 to that. I had researched the 7D (which is awesome and has it's advantages) and the T3i before I bought anything and the T3i is very comparable and and produces equally great photos and is around half the price.

Wow cool looking cave! Is that natural lighting or are there some lights in the cave? Is this in the UK?

Hi,
It's a show cave called Stump Cross Cavern near Patley Bridge in North Yorkshire and is artificially lit. Full details on the link below.

Here is a few shots from yesterday. Nothing real fancy I guess, I'm still learning the settings a little but I'm getting better. These are from a small pier in Westport, CT around sunset time. Any C&C is welcomed, thanks alot.

I dont know but all of these pictures seem pretty noisy to me. Maybe its just low quality lenses, but so far none of what I saw impresses me.

I'm just using the 18-55 lens it came with and a UV filter on. Not sure if the filter diminishes the quality at all. I'm still noobish in using the right settings for the scene.

I will be purchasing mine at the end of the week, kinda interesting to see where the evolution of what your entry level Canon DSLR has been, for me it started with the XSi...and that was only a few years ago! 12.2 megapixels, 3200ISO...it's getting better all the time :)

The anti aliasing is so much sharper on the original.

Took the kit lens to Europe and really regret it. Sure you can get great pics out of the kit lens, but the ones I'm getting from my 50 1.8 and 100mm f2 are much better. I love this camera, but still want a full frame.
