Calling all T3i users!!!

Nice shots all the same - especially enjoy the mallards.

David, don't know what lens you used but those mallards are decently sharp, I like them

Thanks for your encouragement. My wife bought me a T3i about a year ago to get back to photography (many years away). I added the inexpensive Canon 75-300 to the kit, and I "like" the lens, don't "love" it. In trying to re-create my film set up, it will take time to clearly identify what to get next.
But the birds are fun- the Tundras are wintering in my area, so we went to see if we could find them. Beautiful song they sing....

Nice pics Fire & Mike! I'm thinking about picking up a fisheye if I can find one that's reasonable, I dig the look they give.

Hey, I was listening! Tried that today, but as you can see, it was overcast and some snow showers; didn't work well for the birds. Also tried a skylight and a cpl. But what I really want is a zoom that stays the same length throughout, front doesn't rotate when focusing, and is faster (f2.8).

But I will continue to try your recipe.

I was kinda thinking that...I know it wouldn't get used a lot, but there have been plenty of shots where I wished I had one.

Lisa if you want the "spooky" look. Try doing shots like these in Black and White. Nice capture on it too. Good job

Thanks Wolf............I was actually in the passenger seat of my husbands truck driving down the road lol So it was a moving shot also......Am I special now?

The more I shoot with the 40mm pancake the happier I get. EDIT: Thought this was the SOOC shot but it's not, I forgot I added a touch of "clarity" and and slight "noise reduction"

The more I shoot with the 40mm pancake the happier I get. This shot is pretty much SOOC. I think I did some adjustment to get the horizon level, but other than that I didn't have to touch anything else in LR.

No real need for a Fisheye when you have the setting under creative mode. There's a couple different things you can do with it.
Nonetheweisser, that's a nice shot. I have had my Shorty Forty for 3 weeks now and only used it once so far lol

I'm really starting to get tired of this dark, dreary weather. We haven't had a nice day since I got my new lenses, ugh!

Ace..........we had sun today!!!! YIPPEEEEEE! I had to work for part of the day but somehow that made it ok....
