Woolfs, I was trying to do the thing with drops reflections the other day... Did you use any product on the glass before dropping them?

Use live view and go to 10x magnification. You will be able to hit whatever focus point you want. I actually kind of like the focus on the bare branches personally. You can still see some of the bush in focus, but the bare branch colors are a better interest point to me.

I have some shots I took yesterday of our new snow, I just forgot to bring my memory card home so I could PP the shots and see what I have. Hopefully will be posting a few of them tonight.

Ron.......I haven't even used the live view yet. I always seem to have a hard time with it trying to focus. How do you go to 10x magnification????? DO you mean in PP?

That's a nice shot, Lisa. I like the color and composition.

I looked at the EXIF data on Flickr. If you were trying to get the whole bush in focus, you could have made the shutter speed longer, say 1/80th, increase ISO to 400, and that would give you more room to close the aperture down to f10 or f11, which would give you more DOF. A wider DOF will put the front and back of the bush in the focus range.

You are doing well. Enjoy!

Yea it can get crazy at times. Today it's just cloudy nothing special. A few months ago it was extremely windy to the point it made a us flag tear, the very large sized flag not just a regular one you see everywhere.

IKK324, go to live view by pressing the camera icon next to the viewfinder. This locks up the mirror. Use the + button on the rear upper right to get to 5x and then 10x. Use manual focus to focus precisely on what you want.
