They are still cutting down trees that died because of it. And a lot of the prettiest part of Texas was burned by wild fires up around Austin. Looks like it could there as well. I bought the kit which had the standard 18-55mm and also came with a 55-250mm. I bought a 50mm 1.8 seperately which was fairly cheap. Here's a sample of my puppy.
