Nice shot, David! I see all the action you have kickin' in that pic, I'm jealous! I went to two local lakes and the river and couldn't find a single bird to shoot!!! WTF?!?!

NCHANT Your exif says 2 second exposure. How did you get trails like that? Beautiful shot!

Nice shots Rosey. How long has it been since it's rained there? Year before last we only had a couple inches all year. They are still cutting down trees that died because of it. And a lot of the prettiest part of Texas was burned by wild fires up around Austin. Looks like it could there as well.

We have had odd bits or rain but it hasn't been useful. I think drought is to do with the water levels underground as well. The farming community is concerned because if we don't get good rain soon there'll be no growth for winter feed. Northland has been given a drought "package", and there's talk Hawkes Bay is next. Hawkes Bay is where I am. I think the length of time without rain is relative to the situation and effect it has ... It's awful to think trees are still being cut from last year in your area, or anywhere for that matter.

Thanks The EXIF is taken on the base image (where the remains are of the sunset) and the startrail layers on top of that.

The LCRA the people that control the water we get for farming down here from the lakes in Austin shut us down two years ago. There is almost no water in the lakes so they have to keep what little there is for themselves. The goverment has been paying the rice farmers not to farm rice cause rice takes so much water to grow. They can only row crops. We drilled four wells last year for our grass farm to help us get by and the ground water is dropping. They meter the water you take out if things don't get better soon they could start limiting us to how much of the ground water we can use.. It takes years to recover from a drought. It's a mess I wish ya'll luck.

Water is underestimated by the majority I think, as it is SO important for life in SO many ways. I think it's a long term issue with changes to the weather patterns, and agriculture and horticulture is going to need to learn to adapt I guess. But not easy for those caught up in it.]
