Hi all

I'm new to this forum , had my 600d since last July , my first DSLR though I've been interested in photography for a number of years but just had Point n Shoots.

I absolutely love it and see everything as a possible shot now lol.

Anyway thought i'd introduce myself and post a few pics.

Just ordered my new 70-300L and it cant arrive quick enough.

Comments and criticisms welcome :D

Welcome Lee! You've gotten some beautiful shots there. Let us know how the 70-300L is when you get it. I'm looking closely at that one too. ;) Just need the funds. :(

Nice shots everyone!
Thanks Rosey the ducks have been giving a hard time trying to get a clear shot of them flying, they are so fast and most of the time I am shooting out my truck window. The other day I jumped them from the pond then my phone rang (it was one of our customers). While on the phone they came around and set up to land right in front of me and I missed the shot because i was on the phone. Oh well I'll keep trying thats what makes this fun.

Thank You , I'll definitely report back when I get it , took me over 5mths to save up for it , its alot of £'s but looking at the 70-300L sample archive on this forum I know it will be worth it.

Thanks for the welcome Ikk324 , I know the feeling lol , all the shots above are with the 18-135mm kits lens except for the restaurant one , think that was the 50mm f1.4 which my girlfriend bought me for Christmas. ;)

Lee

EDIT : No ,I tell a lie that one was the 18-135 as well , its been a pretty good lens except for the terrible zoom creep.

I was bored today, so I took a little walk by the lake. I've passed this sign so many times and never really thought much of it, till the snow started falling this afternoon.

Thanks everyone for the kudos. Waiting for the weather to improve, so I can get around town for more shots. I'm very much hoping for clear skies next week, to be able to shoot the Panstarrs comet.

BTW, I did a little tweaking of that last shot in DigiKam. Straightened the horizon, adjusted contrast, and a little cropping of the sides.

I'm not sure I've even heard of alignment stacking. What is it? :o

lkk324 wrote in post #15690914 (external link)
Is alignment stacking the same as focus stacking???

Alignment stacking is for stacking stars/nebulae etc to bring out more detail i.e. no trailing? I think I made the term up haha because 'stacking' can refer to focus, star trail and noise reduction stacking?
