Wolf, back it up a bit so you see more in the shot, and get lower if you can. I think you're at too sharp of an angle. Here are a couple to show you what I mean...

Ace...your water shots are frame worthy...really. Anything besides the Macro? Flash? TC?

I'm looking forward to getting mine next week.

Thanks! Just a macro, no TC, and I'm using the flash off-camera. I have colored paper under and behind the bowl to give color, and I'm reflecting the flash off off the paper behind the bowl.

...here's what I mean about being too close, because I was too close when I first tried this:

This shot would've been awesome if I was back about 12" or so, but I blew it, lol.

Seems like timing the shutter with the drop is a real challenge.

I used a remote shutter, and once you start, you kind of get in a rhythm. I shot about 200 pics or so, and my biggest problem was my flash dying...towards the end of shooting, I had to wait for my flash to recharge like 3 seconds between each shot, lol. Now I have an extra set of batteries on hand if I want to try it again, lol.

Thanks Ace, grey skies and VERY low temperatures have kept me from going out.
Give me a couple of weeks.

I did use a tripod for these, just because you have to keep focus on one small space. I keep wanting to try it again, just not happy about setting everything up for the shoot, lol, I'm lazy!

Dutch, I hear ya, man...I actually saw a few insects outside today, woo hoo!!! Spring is almost here!

Nice shots, Double M!! I was checking them out on Flickr...30 seconds @3200 ISO? That seems crazy. I cannot wait to try this!

Thanks, Dutch, I can't wait to start shooting them!
