Well last night we had the roughest toughest thunder and lightning storms I have ever seen in my life. HIGH winds, downpours like I have'nt seen in a long time and Lightning every few seconds. I tested the ruggedness of my T3i and took it outside in the storm. After a few minutes it started going into convulsions but kept on trucking snapping away. I'll have to post some of the pictures tomorrow that I got. Anyhow after constantly wiping off the lens for the next shot and patting the camera dry after I came back inside, I tried using it today and it functions at 100%.
I loved this storm btw. 21 hours no power, no sleep and basement flooded I still had the time of my life out there

After this punishment had the rubber grip started to pull away and peel?

I've had my camera wet, mainly from rain blowing on it, and always worried, but it seems as though it's quite hardy - after reading this and Ace's comments.

Looking forward to the photos though!

Not the best composition, and possibly off topic - as the T3i is off to the right and the photo taken with my Samsung S2

Geeze guys, your all posting some seriously amazing pictures here. Wish I could comment on them all.
ACE, you have taken macro to it's full meaning and potential I think. Those shots are amazing.
I wish I would have taken these from a different location but being my first time trying them, I wasn't even sure how'd they turn out. Next time I'll head out to a country setting.
