Must be bird day here at the T3i thread. These guys showed up outside my office window this afternoon and I had my trusty T3i with me today , with the Tamron 60mm 2.0 Macro on it. Complete with window reflections.

Saw this guy making a bee-line for the other out of the corner of my eye and just got off a shot:

I'm new here. So many great photos on here. I just got my T3i a couple weeks ago and love it so far.
Here are a couple pictures. The one of my daughter was taken with a Canon 28-90 f4 and the BW was a Canon 75-300 f4

Very nice detail, AHK! I love the bird shots and I don't think I've ever seen one of these. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. That photo was taken in Northern Finland. Actually, I was hiking in a natural park, not shooting birds. But if you get a chance to take nice photos of birds... :)

Looking for 70-200 ;)

Hey guys, does anyone know how i can display the pictures in my camera in full view?
Whenever i click on displaying pictures i get this black screen with a tiny picture in the top of the screen so if i wanna see it on full view i have to click zoom each and every time..
This has been annoying the crap out of me and i've searched on line and i can't find a tutorial on how to change it to full view automatically.

Thanks!

Not that there is anything wrong with birds, but there are lots of bird shots here and not many like this. Fantastic. Thanks for posting it.

Try cycling through each of the settings on the "Info" button on the back of the camera and see if that changes the way the shot is presented. Press the "Info" button while in the "Live View" mode until you get a full frame display and then try selecting the "Playback" button and see if that doesn't change it. I don't have my camera with me to try it out so I'm just free thinking here.

From this morning - I had to use the car's door as a tripod to keep from frightening the killdeer. They are nervous around people but aren't bothered by vehicles - weird!

Exposure 0.01 sec (1/100)
Aperture f/5.0

Check your "Menu" setups and make sure you don't have the flash disabled. Sometimes it is the simple things.

Beautiful shot! Did you use any special lighting for the trees or was that just from using a longer exposure?
