That is a good price. Make sure it's legit.

It's sort of an all purpose lens, so you could use it for portraits.

assuming it's in perfect working condition (no scratches, etc.)... you should get it and if you don't like it, you can always sell it back here (and even make money off of it)...

just saying....

What sort of condition is it in? Is it a local seller? If legit and in good condition that's a pretty decent price.

It will most likely replace your 18-135

You'll be hard pressed to find it that low again, the best you usually see now is ~$800 - $825 used. So like the person said a few posts above, if you don't like it, you most likely could make money on the deal! To answer your portrait question -- yes, I used to have one, but swapped it for a 135mm -- and did many senior portraits with it and even studio shots.

or you can buy it at $666, then I'll buy it from you for $700, then I'll sell it here for $825...

j/k

but seriously, it's a no brainer....

If the deal is legit and the lens is in good shape, jump on it. You'll be able to resell it for more than that if you don't like it. Or pass the generosity of the original seller on to someone else and still break even.
