Canon 5Dx ISO is said to be 100-6400.

That's all I need.

With all these speculations, I’m very doubtful with the “announcement” this Friday.

Now that the 5D III is announced and the 5D III threads are going nuts, I am surprised that there is no mention of the rumored 5D X.. There are the normal comments like "meh -- I'm waiting for the 5D IV" and "Introducing this in light of Nikon's D800 was a huge mistake."

Has the 5D X rumor been debunked? In never was a solid rumor, but splitting the 5D line (or introducing a high MP ff camera, maybe a 3D, certainly made sense).

Really? Like what? Knowing that the cream of the crop is the 1DX, what exactly would you like improved on the 5D3?

no mention of the rumored 5D X...

The 5D Mark III seems like a logical extrapolation of the 5D Mark II. But it is nothing revolutionary. It is essentially what people asked for: Better video, better AF and better noise reduction allowing higher ISO. The price is up substantially. The Mark II presently selling for half the price of a Mark III is a better buy for all except rain forest pros. There has to be a 5D x coming, or a lot of studio and landscape business will have to go Nikon D 800.

It's still pretty close to the orginal MSRPs of the 5D and 5D2, and it's less than the current price of Mamiya RZ67 film bodies...which it what it replaces for studio professionals. For what it is, the price is not out of line.

And we still need to compare the actual results of the 5D3 with the D800. Despite the difference in resolution, 22mp is certainly acceptable (although I'd like more), but if the 5D3 produces an image that is finer in other aspects, it would be a superior camera for most purposes.

The only thing that is near revolutionary in the spec (only time will tell) is the High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode.

Other cameras were introduced with features that initially received an 'ho-hum' response, but those features have since become appreciated, micro-adjust for example.

Given how so many people 'hate' HDR, I am surprised that they called it HDR rather than coming up with a new name for it.

Agreed. I am actually looking forward to using it to show more detail in shadows and skies and get away from the Leica LDR look in high contrast scenes.

The 5Diii is the perfect camera for me. Im waiting to see real world high ISO samples. I see that many people are dissapointed with the sample images from canon, saying that the AA filter is too strong. If that is the case i will be dissapointed as well, since the specs are exactly of my dream camera.

More megapixels, so I don't feel inadequate when measuring penis substitutes with Nikonians.

My 500px. (external link) I like action (external link) and volcanoes. (external link) Dragons (external link) and temples (external link) are fine, too!
