What would you like to see improved on the 5d Mk3?

As long as Canon is using separate RGB filtered pixels I would like to see a RawRaw format which accesses the signals straight out of the color filtered RGB pixels WITHOUT the camera processor trying to construct composite colors. We can do a much better job of reconstructing realistic colors and artifact free contours in a PC workstation than the camera processor will ever be able to do.

I would also like to see a Canon 5D MarkIIIBW without any pixel filters at all for low light, high resolution Black and White comparable to 21X3 = 63 MP.

up to 8000fps for video would be a nice addition, get those super slow-mo shots

C'mon, when you're talking about changes like that in the basic concept of the camera, you're no longer talking about the "5D." You're talking about a conceptually different camera.

You're kind of wrong. That's just a different raw format that simply gives you the color and luminance values for each pixel. It's simply taking a step out of your image processing to allow you to do demosaicing later on a (faster and more accurate) computer.

Uhhh, what you are asking for is already the way RAW files work. The raw file doesn't get demoisaiced by the camera. It does simply have the value for each pixel, and it does need demoisaicing later on your computer.

While generally accurate, depends on your camera. I know most Nikons demoasic and apply lossless compression by default.

+1 on that

I'd love to take the autofocus from my 7D and transplant it into my 5D classic. I will buy a 5D Mark III right away if the reviews say that Canon has given us a really good, reliable autofocus system that is accurate and consistent enough to use with my prime lenses at F 1.4.

Hope they don't load the Mark III up with a bunch more megapixels.

My current Canons: 5D, S90, 7D, 550D.
Current lenses: Canon 28 1.8, 50 1.8, 85 1.8, 100 2.0, Sigma 50 1.4, Tamron 28-80 2.8, Tamron 75-200

I don't seem to have that problem. Do you really need Canon to come up with a solution?

Fair enough, I'm sure I'll get used to it given time :).
