Hey guys,

Question of opinion for you all, in the pursuit of SEO friendliness I plan to offer virtual tours in the city of C@lg@ry. I managed to get the domain www (dot) c@lg@ryvirtu@ltour$ (dot) com since that domain expired a few days ago and I managed to nab it on backorder for $69.

Now the next domain that I figured would be the obvious step would be to drop the S at the end in case someone miss spells the URL.

www (dot) c@lg@ryvirtu@ltour (dot) com

Unfortunatly this domain is still in use, I made a maximum bid of 300 bucks for it but they turned it down and want 900 USD for it :confused: I figure I can raise my max and hopefully they go down to 600 or something in the middle, not guaranteed and they might be firm at 900.

What do you guys think? is it worth it? the url without the S is a site for a local real estate agent. Doesn't even have virtu@l tours on the website :mad:

Sorry lol, normally if you post a link and in a week or couple months when googles bots come across the page they index the links on here. So if you were to type in a link or a company name in google, you could land on this page and see all that was written hear. Which is not generally good as it can sometimes be a potential client in some occasions. First time I came across that here I though the folks were nuts or just plain paranoid. But over the years I have googled things that I have written about in the past few years without thinking and have come across that exact same page, so it in fact does work like that.

@ = A
$ = S

:)

It sounds to me like the second site is owned by a cybersquatter. In principle, I wouldn't pay for it. That's just me.
