K, never visit Wyoming's countryside without a good sized truck... with 4 wheel drive lol.

My oh my people amaze me sometimes. I like it here in Wyoming... not a bad place except during winter. Once it warms up again, I am gonna have a hayday shooting pics...

Hey bud, keep it quiet. You know I'm a good driver. :p
All I did was turn around into some loose stones that I thought were just on some bedrock or something. The main road/drive was solid, but as soon as I turned around, it just sunk. :o

Wow Dave hope they didn't charge by the mile?

Next time get a SUV or JEEP. Those tiny PT Cruiser tires are just not meant for Photographers ;)

Thanks for all the comments. Glad you enjoyed this pic of our little missadveture.

When I took that photo I thought of doing a tighter shot, but decided to go for more of a snapshot look. I purposely made the car small in the frame to make the prarie look bigger.

I like the way you took the shot. A tighter crop would have lost the feeling of vaste wilderness that I think you conveyed nicely.

Haha, this is another one of thoe threads that rose from the dead.

Thanks for finding this old thread. Brings back good memories on a gloomy winter day.

Mat,

There was a rocky grade about twenty feet out the left side of the frame. The land looks flat in the photo, but ut was cut by gullies.

and the environmental impact of everyone driving fuel guzzling hummers, SUV's and jeeps is also not meant for people who care about the landscapes the photograph (A pet hate of mine).
