My 50d Canon dosen't work :( I am left with the 500d should I worry?

My Canon 50d needs a new card because something is wrong with it. I am taking photos of my friend in two days time and I will have to use my Canon 500d. Do you think the pictures will be worser than the one's in the Canon 50d. I have a EF 24-70mm Lense. I am reallly worried because the Canon 50d is fantastic, but I have not really used the 500d much..mainly for recording videos. I wish the shoot turned out great.

The 50d and the 500d have the "same" sensor and from what I have read it is hard to see a difference in picture quality between the two.
