More from west Texas. We had a dust storm that day and the wind was blowing up to 50mph. I was hunched behind my truck to help block the wind and dust. That's why a couple of the images have that reddish/brown cast to them. Thanks for looking.

Nice series Brad! I really like the first one, it's really hard to get that excellent detail when the colors are subtle like that.

Enjoyed the thrasher shots Brad, but that meadowlark on the ground is a gem... one of my favorite birds of youth... which was a long, long time ago..... :)

Thanks Mike, I didn't know if the images would turn out good. The dust had blocked out the sun and was everywhere.

Thanks Dave, The Meadowlark is one of my better pictures of the species. They usually aren't very cooperative for me but this one wondered in the yard and got pretty close.
