So today I bougth the RT32N radio trigger for my flashmeter. I think I need to return it but before I do (can't do it until monday) I thougth I would ask if anybody have any opinions.

The radio is mounted in the flashmeter and I get the new flash trigger symbol. I can also set the channel for it. I set it to channel 1 and leave the flashmeter on the flash trigger symbol. The pocketwizard FlexTTL5 is also set to channel 1 and when I push the test button on my MiniTTL1 the flash does fire. However when I press the meterbutton on the flashmeter nothing happens.

The PocketWizards are all updated with the latest firmware and working properly. So do you think its the RT32N module that is defect ?

It works just fine for me. I have the FlexTT5 set to receive Standard channel 1 via the PW Utility program. The flash is in Manual mode. And it fires every time I press the Measure button on my Sekonic light meter.

When you say that the PW just flashes red, are you saying that it flashes red once every time you try to trigger the flash with the meter? Or do you mean that when you trigger the flash, it fires and then the red LED on the FlexTT5 flashes red continuously to indicate an error?

The led flashes red 5 times. This time it did not even fire the flash the first time as it did yesterday.

From the FlexTT5 manual:

Red blinking indicates an error condition. Power off the unit, reseat all connections, and power back on. If the error persists, verify your settings. For example if you are using a Standard channel to trigger a FlexTT5 with a Speedlite in it set to E-TTL, this is an error. The flash needs to be set to manual (See Manual Mode for more information).

As a last resort, hard reset the FlexTT5 by pressing and holding the Test button and turning on the FlexTT5. Keep holding the Test button until the LED flashes GREEN 4 times (usually after 10 or so seconds). Then use the PW Utility to set the unit to the Standard channel again.
