Really nice set, i like them all.

Agree completely with the Op about the sky replacement, I would never do that either, changing it to blue would make it false.

My only critique would be the grooms hand that's chopped in half in the last one, I would prefer to see all of it rather than just his thumb.

Nice call. Ill watch that next time, thank you.

I agree with the color of the sky but if you want a clean style would that compromise your style to change the color for the sky for that image? Would you then have to change it for the other shots as well?
Just thinking out loud.

For number 8 I would be interested to see if you shot lower and had only them and the sky so they aren't lost in the background.

I dont know if it would compromise my style, but I dont find it necessary. I dont want to get too carried away, especially it was a somewhat cloudy day with patches of blue.

As for #8, I did do some more where they were much more prominent, check a few posts later.

Great photos!! What lens and settings were those taken with? How much and what post processing did you do. If you don't mind me asking.

Thank you. I mostly used my 5d2 with my new 50mm f1.2. I also had my 40d with the tokina 11-16 and the 135L that I used a few times.

clean and great colors!

Thank you very much.

Nice shots as usual Bryan. I think you did a good job minimizing the raccoon eyes. I didn't really notice it until someone else pointed it out. Then when I did go back and look for it, it still wasn't too noticeable.

As for the shot with the clouds and them kissing towards the bottom, I think that's a type of shot that looks kind of awkward on screen, but really good in print. Specially if you have to scroll down some to see them. I still enjoyed the image though.

Yeah, racoon eyes are what they are, and a few people have noticed it - but it is really him. He ALWAYS wears sunglasses apparently, and his friends got a good chuckle out of it.

I think you are right about making it a print. A large metallic print can be really powerful I think.

She looks amazing WITH her braces!

Thats what I thought. She tried not to give me a real smile, but I made her anyways, and am glad I did.

Kind of a random question but do you wear a red tie to all the weddings you photograph??

To all of my weddings, yes I do. I also like to wear it to consultations and other events. Even when I second shoot, I seem to wear a red tie (it has become my uniform, and no I never mention the name of my company or hand out cards when I second shoot).

I used to wear it for engagement sessions, but many times it just doesnt work out too well. Engagement sessions are much more casual - im trying to find something to make it work.

You could try jeans with a button up not tucked in and the red tie. Maybe even add a vest not buttoned or something. I see some people wear that, and its a nice / casual look.

Great photos, and cool idea with the tie and branding.
I never wear a tie to weddings, too restricting.

Yeah, not a bad idea. Ive done it in the past, but not something I have been terribly consistent with.

Thank you. Luckily I dont find the tie too restricting (its never on too tight though).

Bryan, did you TAKE any bad photos on this shoot?!? :) Love them all, but esp 2 and 4. Although I did love that dark dramatic sky in 8, I have to admit the version with the relection in the puddle does bring more attention to the "couple" aspect. What an epoch collection!

I think this is the best compliment I have received to date. Thank you so much Michele! There are more on the blog, some that I think really showcase them well. Some more light-hearted images.

2,3, and 7 are my favorites. I love the twist on the foot on 3, but I guess I have a quirky style. The reflection shots are great too. I always try to get those whenever I get a chance.

To summarize.. beautiful as always.

Honestly, there is no secret. Find good light, that is basically all I did with this session. Looking back, they are a bit yellow on some, but I have not found a good substitution for good lighting.
