Granddaughter gets a hug

This happy little girl loves to cuddle up with her aunt at storytime. Shot with a 7D, 28-135mm kit lens, bouncing flash off the ceiling. Sometimes everything just clicks.

I don't know if it's from the flash, but the image seems somewhat flat and dull in color. Perhaps a portrait instead of landscape would have fit the composition better too. Seems like you have some very willing subjects though!

That's very useful feedback. I just bought a monitor calibrator, but I haven't had a chance to use it yet. What we have here is the nefarious effect of using an uncalibrated monitor! In the meanwhile, I did some adjustments to the image (still with the same monitor settings). Is this any better?
