My wife and I got this from one of her co-workers in the mail yesterday. The best part, he sent it for free!!! He also included an SB-15 Speedlight and when he can find it in his storage, a 70-210mm E-Series lens that he's going to send as well. I picked up two rolls of film today and since I also just got my Sekonic L-358 in the mail yesterday... I can't wait to go experiment with both of them :D

Wowsers, that looks like it was fresh out of the factory yesterday.

nice - be sure to check the light seals. sometimes these go bad when a camera is put away for long periods of time. whenever I get a new old camera I put a roll of cheap film thought it just to make sure all's well before I take it too seriously.

have fun with it.

C_boogie, thanks for the heads up on the seals. I'll pick up a roll at Wal-Mart to run through before I use the good stuff. Thanks again.

That is a specimen that someone bought and then almost never used! As gorgeous of a camera as your photograph OF that camera!!!

You'll soon learn how much us old film guys had to spend to capture just a few mediocre images that were then ruined by some idiot in some photo processing lab when the prints were made . . . and appreciate how this is now the golden age of photography/artists-photographers!!!

Again . . . gorgeous image of a nice old 30-35 year old Nikon FA.
