Had a blast shooting these. The weather was perfect for chasing boxers around in the woods. Most fun I've had shooting in awhile. :cool:

Very nice set, did you flash on all or just natrual light. Diffrent from your night photos which are so cool!

Thanks everyone!

These were shot with natural light and I used a reflector instead of flash. I'd brought a full lighting setup but the conditions and quality of light were just ideal, so using a reflector was much easier and worked well without scaring the dogs by using flash.

These are to be used in an upcoming magazine, so I really wanted to get poses correct, full stance, etc.. traditional Boxer traits. However, if you know how Boxers are, they are often referred to as "Clown" dogs because of their personalities. I've got tons of "outtakes" with goofy expressions and running amok too. 8-)

I love the way the Boxer looks with cropped ears.

Yeah, me too... but honestly, I only like the ears cropped on males. Most show dogs will be cropped no matter what, but I like females with soft ears instead. (that's how all my Boxers have been done).
