I'm rather a neophyte when it comes to bird identification - any help appreciated.
Wish I had a photo to post, but not at the moment. Will attempt to get a photo if it returns.
Bird is slightly larger than a robin, coloring very similar to Sage Thrasher, but longer-curved beak. Bird was feeding on my tree-mounted suet station, today (April 3) in Alpine, Wyoming. Just before it flew off, I thought I saw some 'burnt orange' color on the underneath of the tail.
At least the birds are starting to return - it has been a long, hard, winter - and still several weeks of potential snow-fall days left.
