Rarity for us around Chicago or at best, I have not seen one before. I will add it is one of the more aggressive ducks I have seen... Here are a few keepers I managed.. Lots of colors ;)

Great colors, those are very colorful birds. Great evidence the 100-400 is darn sharp at 400 as well, regardless of what the naysayers spew.....

Nice shots-kinda wondered what they looked like. A few were pointed out to me this winter but they were always far off dozing in the reeds. Thanks for sharing.
