I do remember reading that flexible sensors had been developed a year or so ago but this seems a little 'too good to be true.'

Seems cool to me, I would buy one assuming the price is reasonable.

Looks like a pretty good April Fool's gag. Notice the image with the USB cable plugged in? Then look at the canisters in the top image. Does the cable work simply by being in proximity?

I have seen digital replacement backs for some analog cameras, though that was several years ago. This Re35 looks like April fools, but it's probably feasible with current technology, except possibly for the flexibility of the sensor. Wouldn't be cheap, but it's probably a high-end hobbyist niche product any way.

Lol, if it was real I'm pretty sure that Leica R8/R9 owners would be all over it instead of having to find themselves a Modul R back. That and the Leica DRFs would take a beating given the $7000 price tag of the M9.

Truthfully - when digital first started this was a big thing. Several attempts were made to do this most just like this .... didn't fly. Could have been cool tho..

Well actually there IS flexible sensor technology. The University of ILL developed it. The Sensor flexs back and forth with electrical current to zoom and to focus. All it needs is 1 lens element. Not big enough for DSLR use but, could make its way into cell phones and P&S's soon enough.
