Toogy, I'm in the same boat as you (as you know already).
I actually prefer the camera without the grip, but I too shoot mainly vertical, and it's too hard on the wrist not to use the grip.
It will interesting to see what Canon says when they recieve JUST my grip back, instead of the camera.
Last time I sent my grip in (it was 4th too) Canon in Mississauga for some reason "replaced the circuit board", on the grip, even though the problem was with the fit on the camera. This circuit board replacement must be the reason it now has all sorts of battery problems.
