I posted a some of this set a while back, but i think i found a best image in the set nestled in the 'to process' folder which i never got round to finishing. A quick PP session and.....

Lighting was a shoot-through brolley box left main, reflective umbrella high right and a flash for the background. All flashed are Yongnuo...cheap!

Lens is tamron 17-50 and cam is the 500d.

cheers :). pp workflow below:
retouch a la Cameron Rad
Two curve adjustment layers, one for highlights and one for shadows (my chosen method of non destructive dodge and burn)
a fairly delicate USM
A curves adjustment to give the desired tone
and finally a very gentle anti-vignette
