Overall good photograph...I'm sure you'll like that large softbox. Maybe feather it forwards a little bit, reducing the light on his feet. Another suggestion for a nice portrait like this would be having a shirt with no logo, and it appears his one sleeve is up, while the other is down. Thicker material would reduce the wrinkles also.
Maybe the crop is a little tight on the left side and bottom?
Expression is good, as is the exposure.

i'm no expert as to portrait posing but i like it
as ootsk said, cropped too tight
i like the exposure
my eyes keep wandering to his feet
also maybe up the f stop to include focus on the other eye
you're blessed with nice volunteer--unlike me my 17 month old won't
stay still for 1 second

Hi there!
This is my first post on this site, I agree with the other two posters, the feet were a little distracting and the crop was too tight to the left but other than that I love the shot.

The black background looks great. Your subject is very photogenic and and his expression is really nice and laid back.

The lighting is very well done...I am impressed...

The pose hurts this image a bit though...the reason I say that is because you are immediately drawn to his feet...I am not one to stick to the rules but in this case it really comes back to the rule of thirds on this one and the out of focus feet meet right in the cross hairs where the in focus face is in the middle of the frame...

The lighting and the sharpness of his face are fantastic, but I agree about the feet.
