Hi there. I've just bought a Mitsubushi CPD-707-DW dye sub printer. Can you believe this printer costs a small fortune (almost 2k) and Mits can't be bothered to ship it with a profile or even Win7 64bit drivers. Thats fukcing shameful IMO.

anyhow I need to do a proper color profile for this machine because I'm far from happy with the crappy results I'm getting. I have the XRite iDisplay2 but that just does ICC profiling for the monitor. To get the "whole story" I need to build a profile for the printer too.

Any suggestions of tools that are affordable here would be helpful or any other method to do the job really

Thanks.

I came across this website yesterday. This might be the cheapest solution. They are UK based, so too far for me.

Thanks for your link. I know there are folks out there that can do the job for me but the thing is that profiling is something of a dynamic thing and needs updating from time to time. Also printers of the same model can differ and if that isn't enough the ink or in my case ribbon can differ between batches, and as I have about 300 pictures on a roll I'd like to try to be more accurate than a generic profile.
