X keys programmable keyboard

Hi everyone does anyone have any experience with using the x keys programmable keyboard I just recently saw a video where the user was raving about what a time saver using it is so I was wondering if anybody has used them before.

I have one... in a box in the shed.

What are you thinking of using it for? That's probably the key factor.

I was thinking it could be used to program shortcuts for use with photoshop.

It can. It's useful for actions, where you'd have to use the mouse to move to the actions palette or remember F key combinations. Have you thought about which shortcuts you use regularly enough to warrant a second keyboard?

I do wedding photography and I would like to use a lot of short cuts in photo shop to cut back some of my time at the computer.

There are a number of other options to consider:

A Wacom tablet can be programmed to run Photoshop keyboard shortcuts and actions. And several people I know use gamer's keypads like the Belkin Nostromo n52.
