Cybersynch...580ex ii???

I currently am running a Canon 50D with two 580 EXii flashes, stands. 60" umbrella (and a few other setups). I have been shooting a while but new to flash stands and remote flashing. Shooting mainly on location portraits, bridal, etc.
I am having trouble with remote flash built in to the 580 ex iis (set up, line of sight etc)
What are my best options in regards to radio remotes. I have been reading alot on Cybersynchs, but not too clear on what I would need to run the two flashes (sometimes one on camera, one off). Any recommendations, different brands, models etc would be appreciated.

I use my cybersyncs with 2 580ex II to 1 receivers with out an issue with a simple adapter and it works great for off camera work in a single modifier, but only the TTL pocketwizards will let you fire the flash on camera and off camera at the same time. I have a set and honestly, they are wanky to use and not worth the $400/ set in my honest opinion.

I have 1 - 580 ex ii with battery operated cyber syncs. They work great and great price!!
