Do major buying from B&H, Use Adorama and Amazon for back up. I am spoiled by the service and speed of shipping at B&H. Who are some other retailers I should try when out of stocks occur. I want fast shipping like I get from B&H. I order on Monday and have delivery Wednesday to central Illinois.

Nikon D850 and a bunch of stuff, I have learned a lot here when I was shooting Canon, staying to keep learning..."Every time I set up I learn something new".

Well depending on what you are looking for Newegg has awesome customer service (my specific experiences) and guaranteed 3 day shipping on most everything. I always look there when I am pricing around!

got a few things from Beach Camera, pretty good service overall, although I was somewhat disappointed that they didn't ask for signature confirmation on a $450 lens I've got from them last week (FedEx left it by the front door). Knowing my neighborhood, could have been a lot of drama...

I've bought all my lenses from Newegg. Not only are their prices on par, but they also offer 12 months 0% APR. They ship their products from out of NJ, so being in Philadelphia, I get them the very next day.

Norman Camera has price matching and excellent customer service.

+1 - I've purchased once direct and once through Amazon and they were great to work with.

Refurbs at the Canon Direct store. You pay $15 shipping and tax in some states but their prices haven't changed recently and compared to new offer quite a bargain on a lot of items. I just purchased a refurbished 7D body and 15mm FE and they looked new to me, no different than anything I've pulled from a new box. The FE had a June 2010 datecode on it. Also they have quite a few things in stock that none of the authorized dealers have.

I ordered an item from them last Thursday, they initially rejected my credit card. I had to call them up before they cleared my credit card on Monday.

So if you are a new customer, your card might be rejected initially.

Really because fedex delayed the delivery of my 7d by a day because of signature required. I would blame FedEX not Beach for that. I was happy with them.

Amazon, Crutchfield, Newegg. I have heard a lot of good comments about Beech (or is it Beach) Camera, too. Curtchfield has free shipping anywhere in the US, not just CONUS, so it's perhaps my favorite. Amazon has free shipping to Alaska, too. but not on all items.

I just had a look at Newegg, I've bought some photo gear from them without issue. Like everyone else their Canon inventory is drying up.
