C&C welcomed and appreciated. I'm wondering if #5 is a tad too dark or warm.

1,2,3,5 look a little hot maybe?
#5 is definitely not too dark to me.

1 and 5 are my favs...great work!

Did you do ANY PP on them or is her skin that awesome to begin with?
I could only say to PP out some minor whispies of hair from around her head on a few!!!

I thought about the stray hairs in the pics, but I haven't messed with fixing them yet. We have one more session, but these were just basic fixes for proofs. The client is more than thrilled at this point, so I'm happy she's happy.

Her skin is just about perfect to begin with, but I just added a touch of noise reduction to finish it off. I've found that helps with the skin without it being too over the top.

Thanks for the input.

Brad

A few things I noticed. Overall, her skin looks unnatural in most of these. Too orange and/or warm.

Individually:
1. The negative space is a little odd, like there is no reason for it. Maybe crop it vertical.
2. The tree growing out of her head. It's blurry, but it's still a tree growing out of her head. The pole is distracting, too.
3. I like this one except for her left arm. Her hand is pressing too hard creating an odd looking arm. Loosen her grip on her arm.
4. Not bad. Not sure about the reason for the negative space again and the cropping is a little tight (cutting off part of her hand and an arm).
5. I really like this one except for the orange skin. Great pose and composition.

Overall these are very nice photos. Fixing the skin color and some cropping would make them even better. Nice job.

Scott

step 2 brush
step 3 paint white on her teeth
step 4 double click layer
step 5 spearate underlying layer
step 6 adjust accordingly to get white teeth

Thanks, Scott. I'm struggling with my monitor calibration, but the only one I'm seeing orange in is #5. That's at home and at the office, where I'm at right now. #5 is the only one I see that's warm. If you're referring to the smoothness of her skin, I assure you that I didn't do much to touch it up. Her skin is amazing.

I didn't even notice her arm in #3 until you pointed that out. I'll see if I have some others with her a bit more relaxed.

I know a lot of people aren't fans of negative space, but I can't stop myself from doing it. I love it! I'll try some different cropping to see if that changes it at all.

You're welcome.

Don't get me wrong, negative space can be great and I use it all of the time. However, I try to have a reason for the negative space like a sunset, leading lines, complimentary color, etc. Try not to leave negative space just to have negative space. I want to look at a photo and know why the space is there.

To me, her skin looks waaaaaaaaay too orange in nearly every shot, especially 1, 2, 3 and 5.

They are nice shots, but just tone down the reds/oranges a bit to get a more natural tone.

Nice shots!

Here's a quick fix of the skin color and white balance:

I personally think you did a good job although the WB is driving me NUTS! If you're going to be doing this sort of work for money, my advice is to go get yourself a gray card.

The shots are all very nice, lovely model, nice lighting, good composition and framing but as mentioned before the WB id too warm into the orange skin and different from shot to shot, easily fixable, maybe a tad less saturation IMO
Another niptuk Id mention is her expression/smile is the same on all the images, a little variation IMO
Her eyes are beautiful, try some PP to make the eyes pop a little (Just a hair)
The stray of hair does not bother me dough
Great shots

I'm using an Expodisk to set the WB. I think the problem comes when I take the shots into Lightroom and start tweaking. They look great on the camera, but then I start second guessing myself when I see them on the screen.

I'm using a well calibrated monitor and I agree, the white balance is off...too warm. Easily corrected in pp. Depending on what your client wants, I'd crop 1,4,5. In two, the backround looks like an alien is popping out of her head...background is important but this is just off IMHO. The shots are all tack sharp and look very clean (minus the hairs you discussed earlier). Nice job...
