I live in the Central San Joaquin valley here in California.....both the King's River, and the San Joaquin are easy drives from my house. We get a lot of mallards and Wood ducks along both rivers and they make for some great photo opportunies. Here are some shots taken within the past couple weeks.

Love the one in flight ... I have some on foot and lots on water, but not any in flight!
