I just ran thru this whole thread very nice pictures.. there where big arguments about how hard it is to focus Theres definitely a learning curve to this beast!!

Thanks, I was pretty happy with the 3d pop on it as well! On my 30" monitor it practically pops out of the screen. :)

David, I love the colors and detail you're able to get out of this lens. I wonder how well it would do in the hands of a slip shod photographer such as myself. I think I may lock down my 17-40 to 35mm and see how I get along with this focal length. I'm so tempted to buy this lens just based on your images.

Thanks Gene! I think it's a great idea to take shots at 35mm to see if that focal length works for you. If it does, one thought is to go ahead and order one from Adorama or B&H and try it out for a couple of weeks. If it doesn't work for you, then ship it back for a full refund (you'll just be out a little return shipping/insurance expense).

Before buying the 1.4/35mm I had tried the 2/28mm that way. I really liked it, but the CA drove me crazy, so I shipped it back and ordered the 1.4/35mm instead.
