Blowing highlights and blaming it on an AA filter then trying to sell your service to remove said filter for $470 is significant.

Lol, have you actually downloaded the raws and compared them?
The highlights were not blown anyway, yes they were hot, but nothing that moving the exposure slider in lightroom -0.6 of a stop doesn't fix, if anything the file is actually nicely exposed slightly to the right.

Completely ignoring highlight detail, you can still see the difference in sharpness in the more shadowy areas like the area surrounding the bin for example.

Having took these two images into photoshop, the 'stock' 5DC's AA filter seems to be the rough equivalent of adding 0.3px Gaussian blur in terms of sharpness, but that doesn't obviously take into account the increased noise the 5DC would suffer to reach comparable sharpness to the one with no AA filter.

And this, like the previous poster said, is only the difference on a relatively weak (imo good) AA filter.

What I found immediately noticable when I got my x100 was the color/ IQ even in RAW compared to my 5dMk2. They were the best colors Ive seen on a camera. The 5dMk2 was the closest to the feel of Film Colors back when I first got it but the x100 takes it that one notch further. I couldnt believe it. As I still shoot film for landscape panoramas I still get to see those wonderfull film colors coming through with great DR that sadly up until recent times digital was very much lacking in. However 5dMk2 changed all that and now similarly with as much hoo haaa Fuji will take it that bit more with this revolutionary compact. Its a delight to shoot and as I mentioned in one of the other forums my 5dMk2 has been lying around doing nothing for days now. Infact its a real struggle to go to my camera bag and get it out because Ive been given the luxury/ability now to shoot ultra light and get fantastic results. Obviously its horses for courses but the Fuji seems to cross into my 5dMk2's turf in quite a large way for me. Especially in photographic situations that are not work related. All thats needed now is a decent manual focus system on the Fuji, interchangeable lens and less af / shutter lag...... Dont be surprised if this happens also..just look back on their model evolution with their Panorama G6x17 and Gx617 and their 6x9 cameras back in the 70's 80,s. These all evolved from fixed lens to interchangeable . http://www.lallement.com/pictures/G690.html (external link)
Also whats really interesting is when you get the x100 JPG file into Lightroom and put it next to the x100 RAW the sharpening in JPG is done in such a way that when I sharpen the RAW to the same sharpness I get more grain/noise!!! Not sure what algorithm they use for the sharpening/grain reduction but I cant match it when I adjust the RAW to anywhere near as good unless I then export to PS and start bringing in big gun Sharpening /NR plugins .

One final thing...It never came as suprise to me that Fuji would do this...All you need to do is look back over history with fuji to see that they have done this before....When film medium format meant cameras were big and bulky Fuji came out with an unbelievable Medium Format Point and shoot Zoom Compact(if such a thing can be compact :) It was called The GA645Zi....Basically designed as a pro's medium format compact for happy snaps this camera was a delight to use with a stunning fujinon zoom lens that gave great IQ.. With that sort of pedigree it was no wonder they designed this Product so well that they now have a compact camera offering in the market that is second to none(including the Lieca x1). Bet Leica Product Marketers are in damage control mode as I type this:)
